CYB Construction brings you Nano House– a subsidiary company specialising in custom-built prefabricated buildings. Nano House covers everything from sleep-outs or farmhouses to sleek permanent housing, South Island wide.
Nano Houses are timber-framed and clad with corrugated iron, plywood and battens, onduline, cedar weatherboards or other materials of your choice. Roofing can be coloursteel or butynol with internal linings of your choice. All units feature double-glazed windows and doors and are fully insulated with batts in walls and ceiling, and 50mm polystyrene under the floor. Floors are 17.5mm ply over H3 treated timber framing. Walls use a cavity system with H3 timber battens over building wrap on H1.2 oregon timber framing.
These buildings are designed to comply with NZS 3604, and are fully compliant with the building code with bracing design included. We have 2 versions available with a Multiproof Approval from MBIE, which means that they are approved to be constructed New Zealand -wide Building. Building consents can be obtained for these buildings in whatever jurisdiction they end up located in; the consent process will cost less that a normal building consent because the building is already consented; all that is required will be site-specific items such as services and geotech approvals.
In Christchurch there are 5 of our relocatables in serving as CERA’s demolition HQ offices. These were built and delivered to Christchurch after the earthquakes to meet a need for fast, effective office accomodation.
Buildings are available with ensuite bathrooms and full kitchens, including washing machines if required. All units are wired and fitted out with lights, power points, heat pumps and full electrical compliance as required. Floor coverings, painting and installation on piles on your site are all available. We can also supply and install decks, verandahs and other customised items as required.
