Commercial Build

Construction of commercial buildings has become the core business of CYBL over the years.  Our team is experienced in commercial construction work of substantial new-build contracts. These include office and bank fit-outs, new hotel and motels with 166 rooms in total, tourism developments and major retail outlets. We constructed the Fresh Choice Supermarket in Greymouth, the New World Supermarket in Westport, and the Mitre 10 Store in Greymouth.

We have been involved in many one-off projects in the commercial field ; e.g. extensive seismic upgrade to Postie Plus, Greymouth.

We operate our own large truck-mounted Hiab which we use extensively to transport building components (tilt-panels, pre-cast concrete units) as well as our own 30-tonne crane for on-site use. Our yard has a pre-cast concrete bed which we use for panel and pre-cast unit fabrication.

We own and operate a full range of equipment (scissor lifts, crawler booms, telehandlers, diggers, acrow props and scaffolding, so that we are largely self-sufficient and do not need to hire gear.

As with our residential workload, we regularly become involved in a project at an early stage. After selection as preferred contractor we work with the designers, consultants and client towards realising the completed building as a team exercise.
