"CYBL has been a major sponsor of mine over the past three years and without their support I would have been unable to accomplish what I have, I cannot thank them enough."
My name is Matty Graham, I am a former West Coaster who is now studying towards my Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology. along with my studies I work as a performance coach for One2OneMultisport which is an endurance coaching company that I am co-director of, as well as working in Moana Gym as a Spinning, aqua and gym instructor.
I have been competing competitively in multisport and adventure racing for the past 4 years. Multisport is a combination of running, cycling and kayaking all mixed into one race. These races often see competitors running over high mountain passes, biking on rough tracks and kayaking down fast flowing rivers. In short multisport can be described as an off road triathlon without the swimming or as a ‘REAL MANS’ triathlon.
Growing up on the West Coast I was presented early on in my life with the opportunities to get out and explore the many rivers, lakes, native bush areas and mountains that the Coast has to offer. This early love of the outdoors coupled with my interest in the human body during exercise, is what draws me to multisport and adventure racing. I love getting out amongst the awesome country that is on offer at our door step and seeing how hard I can push myself.

Future racing plans:
In 2008 I had my first crack at the Multisport World Championships (Speight’s Coast to Coast 1 day event). After dropping from 9th to 14th place on the final ride due to a puncher I am keen to go back and slay some demons in 2010. After taking a year off from competing in the Coast to Coast in 2009 to recharge my batteries over summer and focus on the Gold Rush Multisport Race I am really looking forward to 2010. Over 2009 I will be training towards the Coast to Coast using a host of other events as stepping stones and tests of my fitness in my build up to the Coast to Coast in February 20
10.
As a West Coaster striving for great heights it is a real privilege to have the support of such a prominent West Coast business. I look forward to what we can achieve together in the future.
